Why Ice Skaters Love Them
Ice skating places significant demands on the feet and lower legs. Spending hours in supportive boots can leave the arches, calves, and ankles feeling tight and fatigued. Using a massage ball for just 2–5 minutes per muscle group can help:
-
Reduce muscle tightness and stiffness
-
Improve circulation
-
Increase mobility and flexibility
-
Support recovery between training sessions
-
Keep your feet feeling fresh before stepping onto the ice
How to Use
For your feet:
Place the ball on the floor and gently roll the sole of your foot from heel to toes. Pause on any tender spots for 20–30 seconds while breathing deeply.
For calves and legs:
Sit on the floor with the ball under your calf. Roll slowly from ankle to knee, adjusting your body weight to control the pressure.
For hips and glutes:
Sit on the ball and slowly move over tight areas, holding gentle pressure on sore spots before continuing.
For best results, use for 5–10 minutes after skating or as part of your warm-up routine before training.
Please note: If you have an injury, persistent pain, or a medical condition, consult your healthcare professional before using massage and recovery products. Stop use if you experience sharp or worsening pain.
